Enrollment into the nursing program is available as an incoming first-year or as a transfer student. Students are prepared as professional nurses who lead clinical practice from a place of integrity and with a commitment to social justice for the most vulnerable populations across the continuum of health care delivery.
SONHI is home to the first and only fully accredited, state-of-the-art simulated health center in Oregon. The acute care unit and ambulatory care center are used to prepare both nursing students to enter practice. Expertly crafted patient scenarios teach students how to care for complex patients with competence and compassion.
