Commitments

The School of Nursing & Health Innovations commits to upholding antiracist policies, correcting any inequitable application of policies, providing trainings to advance equity, and engaging in radical listening within our School. We acknowledge that we have much work to do to dismantle racism and ignorance within our community, and we remain dedicated to this work.

The School of Nursing & Health Innovations has created an Action Plan for Change to Address Structural Inequity, which was developed through a process in which everyone felt affirmed, validated and safe within our School. We are committed to fully implementing the Plan and sharing updates on our progress.

The School of Nursing & Health Innovations has also designed a Bias Incident Reporting System to provide a process for hearing the needs of our students, offering assistance, taking action, and communicating in a timely manner in the event of a bias incident.

Finally, we invite you to share your stories and send your thoughts, recommendations, and experiences to EquityInNursing@up.edu. This email account is monitored only by a limited number of trained staff in the School of Nursing & Health Innovations, and they will bring your thoughts forward to leadership. We want to amplify your voices because they will be listened to and have power at UP.
