Dr. Mallie Kozy

Dr. Mallie KozyMary (Mallie) Kozy, PhD, RN, professor, joined the School of Nursing August 2016 and is teaching nursing theory and knowing and applied population health nursing in a multicultural context. She has been involved in nursing education for over 20 years. She began teaching at Medical College of Ohio (now University of Toledo) and then moved to Lourdes University where she also served as Chair for Undergraduate Nursing Education. Most recently she served Dean at Linfield Good Samaritan School of Nursing. As an educator Dr. Kozy has been involved in both program development and curricular revision, and has taught in both graduate and undergraduate programs. Her practice interests include mental health and population health and she has publications in both topics.  She currently serves as a site evaluator for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, as a member of the Nursing Education Advisory Group for the Oregon State Board of Nursing and is on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Center for Nursing. She received her PhD from Duquesne University, her Masters of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Ohio and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duke University.
