A family nurse practitioner (FNP) is a health care professional who is prepared to work independently and collaboratively with other health care professionals, to diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, and promote health and wellness to families and individuals of all ages. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national FNP certification examination through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board or the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The DNP-FNP program of study is 72 credits completed over 3 years of full-time course work.
 
                                                
                                    The Doctor of Education with Nursing Concentration degree cultivates highly versatile professionals who function at the intersection of practice, policy, and pedagogy. Graduates are prepared to integrate, translate, and apply evolving nursing knowledge while fostering these capacities in others; they lead by focusing on people-based care with respect for diversity, and they advocate for policies that impact global and local population health. The EdD program of study is 51 credits, of which 15 are concentration focused.
