Master of Science (MS) Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)

The master of science degree in nursing clinical nurse leader (CNL) concentration is designed for the registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing, who desires to improve the quality and safety of patient care through direct team-based and evidence-based care delivery. Emphasis is on clinical leadership at the point of care designing, implementing, and evaluating care processes to improve patient outcomes. Students design and implement a scholarly project and disseminate the project outcomes. The program is 39 credits.  Full-time coursework is completed in 6 semesters. Successful completion of this program qualifies graduates to take the Commission on Nurse Certification Clinical Nurse Leader Examination.
